The geological excavations of the quarry of Szentbékkálla consist of a longitudinal section of a one-time valley, lying almost in the direction of north-to-south. In the quarry there are sedimental rocks (pyroclasts) in connection with the eruptions. The pyroclastic stream advanced to the south in this valley, after the huge eruption-cloud of the volcano had collapsed.
